Admission Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old at start of program and 17 years old to take State Board Licensing exam
Must have a high school diploma , GED, or recognized equivalent
Students without a high school diploma or GED can enroll by passing the Wonderlic’s Ability to Benefit test with a 9th grade equivalency
Students enrolling based on Ability to Benefit test are not eligible for Federal Student Aid funding
Students must be high school graduates or have a GED to receive Financial Aid from the U.S. Department of Education
Foreign students must have their high school diploma evaluated by Educational Perspectives, NFP, to certify its equivalency to a U.S. high school diploma .

Admission FAQs

Are there any prerequisites for the programs?

There are no prerequisites to enroll in our cosmetology, esthetics, or manicuring programs! A valid Michigan Cosmetology license is a requirement in order to apply for our Instructor Training Program.

Do you offer financial aid?
